Color Alphabet

Color Alphabet is an ongoing series of 26 typographic cards, each pairing a letter of the alphabet with a distinct web-safe hex color. The project began as a personal exercise to catalogue and celebrate some of the most compelling hex colors I’ve encountered throughout my work as a designer. The series currently runs from A through O, with the remaining letters in development, forming a growing archive of digital-era color references presented through a refined, tactile format.

Accompanying the card set is a poster inspired by the historic French Tableau de Couleur print. I meticulously reconstructed the original layout in Illustrator, subtly modernizing its structure while replacing the traditional pigments with my curated alphabet of hex values. The result is a dialogue between historical color systems and contemporary digital palettes — a reinterpretation of classic design through a modern lens.
