Marriott set out to launch StudioRes, a new extended-stay hotel concept designed as an affordable “home away from home” for families and long-term travelers. The brand needed a foundational identity system that communicated comfort, flexibility, and practicality while aligning with Marriott’s broader portfolio. The project was internally competitive, with senior designers across the agency developing concepts.

I developed the selected identity concept, Comfort Capsule, centered around a rounded wordmark enclosed within a soft capsule shape—a visual expression of comfort, ease, and a space designed to fit individual needs. Through extensive iteration and collaboration with Marriott’s creative and legal teams, I refined the identity for scalability across signage, digital platforms, and branded materials.

The final identity was approved and adopted as the official StudioRes logo, launching across Marriott’s digital presence and brand touchpoints.
