Visual Identity
The Parkgate NYC
-
The Parkgate, an established Irish bar expanding into New York’s West Village, sought a visual identity that honored the character and history of its original pub while introducing the brand to a new downtown audience. The challenge was creating a system that felt rooted in tradition while standing apart within a competitive hospitality landscape.
-
I developed the identity by translating architectural details from the original location—including its wrought iron gate and surrounding light fixtures—into distinctive graphic motifs. The system paired heritage-inspired forms with modern typography, creating a visual language that balanced familiarity, structure, and contemporary appeal.

The resulting identity provided The Parkgate with a flexible foundation for signage, digital applications, and branded materials, connecting the original pub’s character with its new West Village location.
